Church Planting
In 2006 I joined Bill Levin (GCC Church Planting Director who paved the way for lay-lead church plants) to assist him with overseeing lay-led churches in Georgia-Cumberland, as well as supporting and providing consultation for Pastor-led plants as needed.
The lay-led church initiative was an intentional strategy of GCC conducted in a way that facilitates Kingdom growth. With intentional support and empowerment lay-leaders can start and lead new church plants that reach souls for Christ with out adding a financial burden to the conference.
As an example: in 2010 the five congregations I have been responsible for in 2010, had a combined attendance of 158, $215,000 in tithe, and 14 baptisms. During this time I was still able to work on all my other responsibilities in the department as well as working on planting an Organic Church 6 miles from my house with my family.
